Inside an OTBX engagement
About

An engineering studio

that ships.

OTBX is a senior-led studio for AI, software, cloud, and digital transformation. Headquartered at 4555 Highway 7, Vaughan, Ontario. We do not produce strategy decks — we produce production systems and the people who can run them.

Honest scope

Engineers who have already shipped the systems you need.

Production deploys are the artefact. Decks are not.

We take the work we can do well, and decline the rest.

The studio

We started OTBX because the industry needed less theater.

Most consulting engagements end with a strategy deck and an engineering team that cannot execute it. We started OTBX to refuse that pattern. Our work is the running system, the database the team owns, the deployment pipeline an engineer can run on a Tuesday — not the slide that gets archived.

We combine software engineering, AI infrastructure, cloud foundations, automation, and practical business understanding to build platforms that are usable today and scalable tomorrow. Whether the work is a private LLM serving substrate, a freight TMS, a real-estate intelligence platform, or a modern tax-practice front door, the standard is the same: it has to run, it has to be ownable, and it has to be honest about what it does.

We are based in Vaughan, Ontario, and we work primarily with Canadian and North-American operators — though our engineering work lives wherever the team needs it to.

Principles

What we believe.

The operating principles every OTBX engagement is held to.

Principle 01

Senior or nothing

Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner who owns the outcome end-to-end. We do not staff with people we would not personally trust to ship.

Principle 02

Outcomes, not hours

We price for the outcome and the risk we are willing to carry on it. The unit of work is a shipped system, not a timesheet.

Principle 03

Strategy that compiles

We do not produce slideware that engineering teams cannot execute. Every deliverable assumes someone will run it on Monday.

Principle 04

Boring on purpose

We use technology your team can actually run — Next.js, Supabase, Postgres, Vercel, Docker — not the framework du jour. Boring scales; novelty bills overtime.

How we work

A small, deliberate team.

We grow only when there is real work and a senior practitioner ready to own it. We will tell you what we can and cannot do — before either of us signs anything.

Engagement model

Senior-led, outcome-priced, with a single point of contact who has done the work themselves.

Delivery posture

Weekly demos, shared dashboards, written decision records. You see the system as it is built.

Handover discipline

Runbooks, architecture decisions, and a documented operations posture so your team can run what we shipped.

Work with us

Bring us the hard one.

We work best when the problem matters and the engineering is real. Let us know what you are trying to build.
